How long does it take for edema to go down post-surgery?

4wk to 1 year: Variable depending on the body site. The extremities including fingers, hands and feet can be about 4 weeks, and the face and nose can take all the way up to 1 year depending on the extent of the surgery. Best is to discuss with the surgeon who did your surgery.
