How to treat ivig itching side effect?

Change type: Itching can sometimes be eliminated by changing the type (i.e., manufacturer or method of preparation) of the ivig. Sometimes IV steroids such as Decadron before the infusion works and sometimes IV antihistamines help. Occasionally a very low dose of IV Demerol (meperidine hydrochloride) prevents some of the ivig reaction symptoms, especially shaking. Sometimes, nothing works.
