Not recommended: While Aspirin is an effective blood thinner, it is not recommended for dissolution of a clot. If you suspect a blood clot, do not try to treat it yourself with aspirin. Go to the er for stronger medications and also diagnosis of underlying issues that could have caused it. Again, if you suspect a clot, please see a physician immediately. Migration of clot can be fatal.
