All your own: Most kidney infections arise from our own flora that's migrated from the environment up into the wrong place: the urinary tract. Post-coitus uti's are common but they are w/our own flora. Persons can have alterations in their microbial flora if they have a change in environment (i.e.:a hospital stay) ; then become infected with those organisms if present in the wrong place at the right time.
