A member asked:

What causes frequent kidney infections?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Varies.: For females, it ismore common compared to male, due to the proximity of the bladder opening( urethra)to the anal opening. So wiping backwards is one way to reduce the risk.An abnormality of the urinary tract in both sexes such as posterior urethral valve in men, or polycystic kidney disease in both sexes will be another reason for frequent infections.
