how long does it take for your brain chemistry to return to normal once an alcoholic has stopped drinking?

Alcoholism: There is quite a bit of debate about this. But, it is at least one year. The post acute withdrawal symptoms that happen after six months are very telling. Clarity continues to be restored during those first twelve months of sobriety.
