Yes: Hernias can come out and go back in and not show at all - except with straining. Most hernias start out this way.

Herrnia: A hernia can be present but not cause pain or symptoms. Usually a hernia in adults is related to heavy episode of lifting. If you have intermittent pain see you doctor. Hope this helps.
