Can shaving or closely trimming pubic hair increase the risk of utis?

UTI & hair trimming: No! uti's come from the bacteria of the intestinal tract. The only risk is a skin infection of you cut too deep!

No.: Unless you are nicking the skin near vaginal area. In general shaving does not affect risk of utis.

No: No, but I have seen some serious MRSA (staph) infections. Close trimming is probably safer than shaving.
