See below: Geographic tongue is the name of a condition that gets its name from its map-like appearance on the surface and sides of the tongue. It may occur in other areas of your mouth, as well. You'll be relieved to know that geographic tongue is a harmless, benign condition that isn't linked to any infection or cancer.

Geographic Tongue: Yes, you will always have it. Some times it can get sensitive depending on your diet. Citrus fruits, spicy foods can exacerbate it. Generally you won't even know it is there.

Geographic tongue: Geographic tongue is common. It can look like a map. It is also called migratory glossitis because it tends to move.... It is not a major problem but acts more like psorsias where it waxes and wanes. Treatment is often bland oral rinses.
