Sometimes: Usually this condition comes and goes. No one that i know understands the cause, and there are no known cures. The good news is that it is a benign condition! there are some reports of treating it with antihistamines, which are safe, so you could try liquid Benadryl (diphenhydramine) at bedtime (1 tsp) to see if it will help - as long as your're not allergic. It might cause drowsiness however.

Yes it does: Geographic tongue or benign migratory glossitis eventually goes away. But, it deserves its right to come back. It usually does not cause any harm. There is a theory that it may be linked to with psoriasis but more research needs to be done to prove the link.
