Unlikely Chiari II: Chiari ii malformations tend to be obvious at birth, involving neural tube defects and/or hydrocephalus, so chances are that's not what you have. Cystic dilations of the spinal cord (syringes) are associated with chiari malformations. Your syrinx most likely is related to your chiari i malformation and probably warrants treatment. See a neurosurgeon.
