Every now and then i have what feels like spasms in my ear drum. it doesn't cause pain just a few soft thumps in my left ear. what could this be?

Congestion: Inner ear congestion, or even sinus congestion, felt through the eustachian tube may cause this symptom. If concerned, see pcp for eval, good luck.
