Yes: An extraction socket will take several months to "fill in" and several years for the bone to adapt underneath it--and can be red/inflamed for some time. The socket may be still inflamed (depends upon the initial infection and the difficulty of the removal) so redness is normal. If still bleeding or oozing, go back to the treating doctor for a follow-up. P.S. No molar removal is simple!
