Narrowed airways: When your breathing improves after bronchodilators, that means that your airways are narrowed (bronchoconstriction), which causes difficulty with breathing out more than breathing in. This is the underlying problem in asthma. If you are short of breath, asthma medicines may help - ask your doctor.
