Probably normal: It is common to have elevated liver function tests, or lft's after gallbladder removal during the first couple weeks or so postop. Fatty liver, or hepatosteatosis, can also cause slightly elevated lft's. Currently, most doctors think fatty liver is not a progressive disease leading to liver failure like cirrhosis, but it is relatively poorly understood. Hope this helps!

unrelated : Fatty liver not related to gall bladder removal , mild transitory elevation is ok will return to normal few days as in your case , after surgery . Yes if fatty liver not checked & untreated may advance to cirrhosis.
