Depends!: Age related macular degeneration (amd) is a common cause of vision loss in the "retiree age group." while sun exposure is a recognized risk factor for amd, it is by far not the strongest. Need more info: The yellow spots need more clarification. If they are drusen, then you are very likely in the early stages of macular degeneration. See an ophthalmologist and consider starting prophylaxis with fish oil and eye vitamins.
