Yes, it could be,: If you are allergic to your cat. You can do an experiment. Remove the cat from your room at night. If things improve then you have an answer. Or you can get testing done at an allergist to see if you are allergic to cats. If the cough does not go away with antihistamines, see a family doctor to see if you have a form of asthma or gastroesophageal reflux disease.
