No...: A diagnostic scope procedure wouldn't cause cancer. Persistent discomfort in the throat should be rechecked by your doctor as the trauma from the procedure should've subsided if it was done a few months ago.

No: Endoscopy does not cause cancer. It is not uncommon for patients to have a mild sore throat after an upper endoscopy but usually that lasts for only a day or so. Taking biopsies is usually safe but can cause some complications so extended periods of discomfort should be looked into further with a radiological procedure like a chest xray or esophagram first and possibly repeating the egd.

No.: An endoscopy with biopsy will not cause cancer. It can, however, cause soreness, but typically this only lasts for a few days. If you are still having throat discomfort after a few months, you should probably have it checked out by your physician. But, given your young age, would not worry about cancer.

No: You are fine. Upper endoscopies with biopsies do not cause cancer. The passing and presence of the endoscopy tube itself during the procedure will cause lingering discomfort in the throat in most (if not all) people. It should get better soon. You are fine. All the best, hk.
