See your doctor: It's best to see your doctor for treatment. Your primary care doctor will be able to manage you or may refer you to psychiatry. Medications may be prescribed but if you can be managed without, it's preferred; as these medications have potential for abuse.

Anxiety: There is help for anxiety, through both talk therapies and medications as needed. You might consider a second opinion from another psychiatrist and/or psychologist -- i don't know which of these your term "psych" refers to. Primary care physicians are not trained to do the in-depth psychotherapy that's needed for anxiety -- they can be very supportive though, & will often continue ongoing meds.
