UTI: How do you know that you don't have a uti? If you have pain with urination, increased frequency/urgency, blood or pus in your urine, then you should go see your doctor. There, they can dip your urine and send it to the lab for a urine culture and sensitivity (i.e. See if any bacteria grows and what antibiotics the bacteria responds to) so you can be treated properly.

Quite possible: Sx such as urinary frequency or discomfort with urination may not represent an actual infection. A UTI generally means an infection in the urinary bladder or may start ascending up the ureter toward the kidney, in which case it is more severe assoc. With pain and fever. But men or women can have an inflammation of the tip of the outer urethra with sx but no uti. Bladder 'spasms' can do the same.

Bubble-bath or IC: Bubble-bath or other chemical irritants like chlorine in swimming pools can mimic symptoms of a uti. Interstitial cystitis symptoms are frequently same ior similar to uti. Check www, interstitialcystitisassociation.Com. An overactive bladder might also be the cause. Suggest you see a urologist if symptoms persist.

Guy or gal problems: Agree w/others: that could be irritated area near where you pee [bubble bath, hot tub], bladder spasms, interstitial cystitis, stones. Also consider guy or gal problems ... Any funny discharge? Sexually transmitted illnesses like chlamydia should be checked out. Prostate infections in guys, or vaginal infections in girls can also act like UTI symptoms. Time to talk with your doc! good luck.
