i'm wondering why are cranberrys useful in uti (urinary tract infection)?

Some studies: Some studies suggest that cranberry contains a substance that coats the bladder and helps prevent bacteria from sticking to the lining of the bladder thus preventing the formation of a uti. Cranberries also contain vitamin c which helps to make the urine more acidic which also helps to make the bladder more resistant to infection.

Yes: Cranberry juice decreases risk of urine infections caused by certain bacteria such as e. Coli. You can still get urine infections by other organisms.
