A member asked:

I'm wondering why are cranberrys useful in uti (urinary tract infection)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Some studies: Some studies suggest that cranberry contains a substance that coats the bladder and helps prevent bacteria from sticking to the lining of the bladder thus preventing the formation of a uti. Cranberries also contain vitamin c which helps to make the urine more acidic which also helps to make the bladder more resistant to infection.
