One thing: To consider is your overall pain. I have had good luck in treating these issues with an antidepressant like cymbalta (duloxetine). Tramadol can also work by a similar mechanism to decrease pain signals. If it works it can be a big relief. Cymbalta (duloxetine) is now indicated for arthritis, if not on it talk to your doc. Good luck.
