None is safest: The consensus is that it is risky. Of course, everyone has distinct thresholds and some may tolerate the mixture better although there is presently no way to know who will do better. The mixture can intensify motor incoordination in addition to deficits in judgment and accordingly it is advisable to not drink alcohol when taking antidepressants. Stay safe!

Alcohol & depression: Zero! this is no joke. Alcohol is a depressant. It makes anti-depression meds ineffective and increases the bad feelings that depression curses.

None, Zero, NADA: Drinking alcohol while on Lexapro (escitalopram) is not recommended. Alcohol could aggravate depression and anxiety (common reasons for prescribing lexapro (escitalopram)). Also the combination of alcohol and a cns-active agent is unpredictable and potentially very sedating. Please don't use alcohol at all while on lexapro (escitalopram).

Alcohol and meds: I can't give you a number. Understand that many medications like Lexapro (escitalopram) require a healthy liver. Excessive alcohol can damage the liver. Alcohol with meds can impair absorption and augment side effects. My usual recommendation has to be to not take your meds with alcohol and to limit to occasional social gatherings if you really can't just not drink.
