Diet: Your child should be on cereal and fruit as well as vegetables and possibly meat or chicken. I would avoid the walker for now, she is not ready for it.

Walkers are not : recommended, both for safety reasons & because they keep the hips ABducted, or splayed, a bad position for learning to walk. Regarding feeding, iron- and zinc- fortified rice cereal is introduced first. Since your baby is 6-months- old, you can follow that with iron-rich meats, then vegetables,leaving fruits for last. Respect his food cues; when he turns away from the spoon, he's full.
