Sugar and fat: Carbohydrates are a type of sugar while fats are made of fatty acids. They are chemically different, and treated differently by the body. Fatty acids are essential to the human diet while carbohydrates are not. Simple carbs are worse than complicated carbs. Too many fatty acids, even the healthy kinds like omega-3 is not advisable.
