Get evaluated: Pls see your doctor to make sure you have not developed bronchitis or pneumonia. There are other diseases that can cause constant coughing and shortness of breath, such ad asthma and copd. Proper treatment is needed asap.

Chronic cough: Severe cough with mucous and difficulty in breathing needs evaluation by pulmonary doctor with cxr, and pulmonary function test. You never smoked or chewed, on no medications and only 44, make it more important to see the lung doctor.There are many reasons for this condition. Thanks.
