It's time...: Weight loss is needed, & doing so successfully & mindfully is important. Glad you're thinking that way. Using age, ht, wt, & an arbitrary goal wt of 200, an online BMR calculator says that if you're sedentary (little or no exercise), you should target 1897 cal/day. But if you're lightly active (light exercise 1-3 days/wk), you could eat 2174. Moderately active (moderate exercise 3-5 days/wk), 2451.
