Had lisinopril 5mg 10yrs. stressed..my bros illness and his wife needing ect. gp inc to 10mg month ago, but bp not changed. now 12.5mg. bananas?

Not for lisinopril: You will probably need a second , different antihypertensive such as 12.5 mg of hctz (hydrochlorothiazide). Bananas are not necesssary for postassium supplementation with lisinopril; however would be beneficial if you add hctz (hydrochlorothiazide).

Be patient: Keep following up with your dr. As the ace-inh Lisinopril can be titrated up to much higher doses, and at times, high BP may need 2 or even 3 medications before if gets controlled. Best wishes.
