Expense: Medicare is in fact a form of socialism. Many in congress, especially the tea party members, believe that the government should not be involved in any activity that might be privatized. Financial firms would love to get that money. All of these forces put pressure on medicare reform which means elimination of medicare, even though you may have spent thousands on it. Study the issues and vote.
