Need to take a plane but i broke three ribs. will the change in pressure from the plane increase pain or have detrimental effects on healing/health?

NO: Airplanes maintain a pressure equivalent to the pressure at an elevation of 6-8000 ft. This should not have a significant effect on your pain or healing. See http://www.Who.Int/ith/mode_of_travel/cab/en/ for more info.

Yes and No: There will be more pain, you can strap the area with some tape to minimize it. But it won't have any healing effects. This is with non-displaced fractures and no lung puncture.
