Go low carb/glycemic: The mediterranean diet, dash diet, and low glycemic diets can all be helpful with weight loss, improving your cholesterol levels, and improving Insulin resistance and really you don't want a diet because that's short term - you want to change your eating habits permanently so look for one of these plans that you can stick with.
