Aphthous ulcers: Those are likely to be aphthous ulcers and not herpes. These are not viral and therefore not responsive to valtrex (valacyclovir). Dilute hydrogen peroxide rinses can help. I also use chloraseptic lozenges as they have Benzocaine to numb then and give relief.
