It is unlikely all these symptoms are due to HSV1; and recurrent outbreaks are uncommon while taking valacyclovir (Valtrex). Both oral and genital HSV1 outbreaks usually do not occur more often than 2-3 times a year, and chest lesions almost certainly are not herpes. Citrulline does not increase the frequency or severity of HSV outbreaks. See your doctor for HSV PCR testing of the outbreaks.
