Yes if you need iron: Menstruating women need extra iron. If one is no longer menstruating each month, one probably doesn't need this much added iron.

Probably not.: Unless you are having active periods at your age, a bleeding disorder, or you have a known deficiency of iron, you do not need much iron. You may want to consider stopping the supplement. Exercise and better eating habits will be beneficial to you.

Depends if menopause: Whether you need to supplement with iron is not based on your age but whether you are still menstruating. It is safe and reasonable to supplement with iron prior to menopause but once you reach menopause iron is likely to do more harm than good and you should then switch to a quality multivitamin that does not have iron (though iron bisglycinate is a good form).
