What can cause my heart to feel like its racing but my heart rate is ok especially when i first wake up but didn't stand up yet?

Hard to say: This is hard to give you an answer without tests and an examine. One thing to know is sometimes the heart beat can be so fast that it has trouble filling up every time. Then you may only feel every other heart beat if you check your pulse, but it will feel faster in your chest. You should see you doctor to get it checked out.
