Must find out why: A normal tummy is not hard nor swollen. Therefore, one must be examined by her primary care doctor to see what is inside her tummy. After an exam, blood and urine testing may be needed, as well as "imaging studies" such as ultrasound or ct scans. The doctor will want to know how long the symptoms have been going on, whether or not there have been digestive, urination, or menstrual symptoms, etc...
