How young?: An ablation is probably a better answer, can be done in the office, back to work in 24-48 hours. No major organs removed and low risk profile. If you have a hysterectomy you should see someone that does them vaginally or at least laparoscopic.

Major surgery: Hysterectomy is a major surgery even when done with minimally invasive techniques. As with all surgery there are risks that need to be weighed and the indications should justify the risk. If getting rid of the "hassles from bleeding" is the goal, there are other less invasive procedures or non invasive medical therapies that could be tried first.
