Need more info: What level of spine was the mri--cervical, thoracic or lumbar? What neurological exam findings do you have? How did you injure your back, was it one acute accident or years of wear & tear? Likely, thoracic para spinal muscle spasm would not cause leg pain, but this really is a question for your neurologist. Good luck!
