There are two of these connections in a patient with a gastric bypass. The symptoms could be intermittent, but at some point the narrowing could lead to partial or complete blockage. Endoscopy or radiology could help to evaluate.

stricture: Yes, it is possible that your stricture may still be there and cause problems. You may have had an ulcer at the anastomosis which caused narrowing, and that may have gotten better for a while, and you may now have another ulcer which would make the symptoms return. You need an endoscopy.
