A member asked:

Is there any other way to increase or strengthen rbc of g6pd deficient, any food or supplement?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Consider Folic Acid if you're hemolyzing, but don't look for magic in diet or vitamin bottles. You do not need to "strengthen" your red cells; you merely need to avoid medications and foods that will destroy them. G6pd deficiency is a common minor nuisance, and it's your right & duty to learn how to manage it and avoid episodes of hemolysis. Most folks like you have little difficulty with this.
