Learn about anxiety: Don't hyperventilate-- breathe slowly (as you can) through your nose, learn relaxation exercises/ meditation etc. And learn about anxiety-- it's all about adrenaline and "catastrophizing"-- going to the worst case scenario. Lots of good books about it. Ssri's can be very helpful if cannot get on top of it.

Understand causes: It is a good idea to understand what causes your anxiety/panic. You could do this on your own but it will likely be easier/more effective with a professional psychologist. This way you are not only learning to cope with panic symptoms but will also be working towards a longer-term solution to potentially drastically reduce/end the panic and anxiety all together. Hope you get the help you need!
