Possible, unlikely: Lupus can be related to genetic issues and enviromental exposures and their interaction. The genetic influence is the inheritance of immune response genes, such that if you have such genetic composition and are exposed to the specific environmental antigen and develop lupus. Even twins may not each develop lupus and identical genes may or may not have lupus but not the same type of lupus.
