Yes: Compression dressing will help. I am a little surprised you are just in an ace but elevate and do not walk without the cam walker.

Yes, and tell Dr...: It is possible to get swelling in the whole foot/ankle with a fractured 2nd metatarsal. You want to make sure you are properly immobilized with the cam boot. You may want to contact the dr. Treating you because the fracture may need to be reassessed and make certain it is healing in alignment and has not shifted or become displaced.

Yes to swelling: Your whole foot will swell with a fractured 2nd met. If you wear your cam boot to bed there is no need to ace wrap the foot. I prefer the cam boot instead.
