Coccidynia: Pain in tailbone is called coccidynia -dynia is suffix meaning pain of or associated with area of body or bodily process. A fall on or strain of tailbone could result in pain in area as could inflammation. Inflammatory bowel disease (ibd) conditions like ulcerative colitis can be associated with inflammation in joints and bones. A trial of anti inflammation medication, ice & cushion is a start.
