See a dentist: The best thing for you to do is to see a dentist today. This pain indicates an infection. It is hard to say if it is an abcess of a tooth or a periodontal infection, but the only way to treat it is with a dentist. You can rinse with warm salt water and take ibuprophen for pain until you can see a dentist.

Wisdom teeth: Erupting wisdom teeth would be the mostly likely cause for pain for someone your age and without a previous history of dental problems. The eruption process for wisdom teeth is a long one and they may never fully erupt. Currently you may have normal eruption pain or an infection around the erupting tooth called pericornitis. Vigorous rinsing and pain meds can provide only temporary relief.
