A member asked:

My son has fractured maxilla almost close to his nose, how long will it be before he can go back to play football?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not this season: It will be a minimum of 6-8 weeks for a maxillary fracture to be healed enough to go back to a contact sport, and sometimes as long as 12 weeks depending on the extent of the fracture. Count him out for this season.
