HBP at age 18: Hypertension in a 18 year male is abnormal. It may due to secondary causes (s). Factors to be evaluated are: a coarctation of the aorta, conn"s syndrome and a renal artery stenosis, among others. See a nephrologist (n) to have these ruled out. If s is ruled out it's best to see a n to treat your hypertension. Reduce any risk factors such as obesity and cigarette smoking. Good luck.
