Dural pucture: There is always a risk with a needle injection in the spine of dural puncture especially with a blind or unguided technique, and can happen at any spinal level. Risks are increased in thin or cachetic people especially who are dehydrated, young pregnant women as well and inexperienced operators. Mostly headach is the most common effect but irritation of the spine can occur in rare cases.
