Nerve Entrapment: There is likely an impingement of the ulnar nerve. This can take place at the wrist, elbow or in the neck. An EMG performed by a neurologist would be helpful in addition to an office examination. One needs to evaluate the type of work they are doing as a possible source of aggravation. Diabetes mellitus and toxic metal exposures are also considerations.

Many possibilities: Numbness can occur from various reasons. Some potential causes include vitamin deficiency, nerve damage, nerve compression, alcohol over consumption, side effects of different medications, or as a result of different systemic medical conditions such as diabetes.
