Could be a nerve: The most common type of compressive neuropathy in the arms is carpal tunnel syndrome. This is due to a pinched nerve in the wrist. Other common causes are cubital tunnel syndrome (pinched ulnar nerve at elbow) and cervical radiculopathy (pinched nerve in neck). Peripheral neuropathy from diabetes or medical problems are less common. I would ask your primary care doc to investigate this for you.
